Boiler Installation with Power Flush, Hornchurch
Tony contacted the team at Lazard Plumbing when he discovered his boiler had a leak and he needed a boiler repair at his home in Hornchurch, Essex. His heating system had not been installed by a professional, which meant a number of issues had arisen over the years.
Tony asked us to provide a quote for a boiler installation and to relocate the boiler to the utility room, freeing up some space in the kitchen.

How We’ve Helped
The Challenge
This job involved more than replacing a leaking boiler. Moving the boiler to a different room meant new pipework had to reach the utility area. And with a history of problems from the original installation, it was important that the rest of the heating system was in good condition so the new boiler was protected from the start.
Relocating the Boiler
By installing pipes under the flooring, we were able to fit Tony’s new boiler in the utility area. Running the pipework beneath the floor kept it out of the way and gave Tony back the kitchen space he wanted.
Power Flushing the System
We power flushed the central heating system. A power flush pumps water through the system at high flow to clear out sludge, rust and debris that build up in pipes and radiators over time. On a system with a history of issues, this gives the new boiler a clean start.
We then added an inhibitor to protect the system against corrosion. Inhibitor is a chemical treatment that helps stop rust and sludge from forming again, protecting both the boiler and the radiators.
Registering the Warranty
We also registered the warranty on Tony’s behalf, meaning he will now enjoy a 10-year boiler warranty. It’s one less job for the customer to remember, and it means the warranty is in place without him having to arrange it.
Working to a Professional’s Standards
Tony was delighted that we managed to do everything he asked of us. As a professional pipefitter himself, he had incredibly high standards for the boiler installation. Our engineer Paul completed the works over two days to the highest of standards, under the watchful eye of the client!
